The National Trade Office attended the Commonwealth Senior Trade Officials Meeting II and the Commonwealth Trade Ministers Meeting (CTMM) which convened from 16th to 20th June 2025 in Windhoek Namibia. It was first of its kind for the CTMM to be hosted outside of the Seat of the Commonwealth Secretariat in London.
The Commonwealth Trade Ministers Meeting provides awareness and opportunity for Commonwealth Members to take stock of developments relating to trade and investment related matters following the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) hosted by Samoa; and the 2026 CHOGM preparation in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Commonwealth Trade Ministers Meeting provided a platform for Papua New Guinea to discuss trade policy issues, strengthen trade and investment priorities in the intra-Commonwealth in multilateral spectrum.
