The PNG Agriculture and Trade Festival 2026 is bringing together farmers, processors, government agencies, businesses and industry stakeholders in Goroka from August 28โ30, connecting agricultural production with trade, investment, standards and market opportunities. The event also marks 70 years of the Highlands Farmers and Settlers Association (HFSA).
Government and industry participation includes the Department of International Trade and Investment, PNG National Institute of Standards and Industrial Technology – NISIT , Papua New Guinea National Trade Office , Investment Promotion Authority (IPA), SMEC and PNG Spice Board, alongside the PNG Biosecurity Authority – PNGBA , Fresh Produce Development Agency , Kokonas Indastri Koporesen and Department of Agriculture and Livestock . Discussions also include proposed direct international flights from Nadzab Airport, stronger export standards and potential trade opportunities with the UAE.
