Section Papua New Guinea Partners with Digicel for World Expo 2025 Content Production
The National Trade Office of Papua New Guinea, in collaboration with Digicel, is proud to announce its strategic partnership for the production of high-quality videos and virtual content for the Osaka World Expo 2025 in Japan. This partnership is key to showcasing Papua New Guinea’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and growing trade and investment opportunities on a global stage.
Speaking on the significance of this collaboration, Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Raphael Uranguai stated, “Partnering with Digicel for the production of videos and virtual content for the Expo is of great importance due to their technical expertise, vast network, and deep understanding of Papua New Guinea’s cultural and social dynamics. Digicel’s capabilities will enable us to create content that highlights the richness of our diverse cultures, landscapes, and investment potential, ensuring Papua New Guinea stands out at the Expo.”
Digicel’s team emphasized their commitment to delivering exceptional content. “We are excited to be part of Papua New Guinea’s journey to the World Expo 2025,” said a Digicel representative. “Our production team is well-versed in creating digital media that is visually captivating and resonates with both local and global audiences. By working with the National Trade Office, we aim to craft a compelling narrative that reflects PNG’s identity and potential for sustainable industries.”
Through this partnership, videos and virtual content produced by Digicel will be distributed widely across multiple platforms, including Digicel’s Mobile TV and TV channels, ensuring that Papua New Guinea’s message reaches a broad audience, both at the Expo and beyond. The collaboration with Government Agencies and the Private Sector will enhance the content’s authenticity, showcasing Papua New Guinea’s unique heritage, resources, and potential for tourism, trade, and investment.
“We will also integrate interviews with international investors and local leaders to offer deeper insights into why PNG is a prime destination for global investment,” added Mr. Uranguai. “This will reinforce our vision of positioning Papua New Guinea as a leading hub for sustainable industries and opportunities.”
To engage local audiences, a comprehensive TV campaign will be launched, aimed at educating and promoting the 2025 World Expo’s significance and potential impact on the nation. This campaign will help strengthen national pride and awareness of Papua New Guinea’s participation on the world stage.
The success of this initiative will be evaluated through key performance indicators, such as audience reach and engagement, feedback from Expo attendees, and the number of partnerships and business inquiries generated as a direct result of the content. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and storytelling, this partnership will ensure Papua New Guinea leaves a lasting legacy at the Osaka World Expo 2025.
